Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is an American celebrity chef on television and former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides concise easy-to-master techniques to cook at home on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell worked at top New York restaurants and studied Italian cooking traditions as well as the geography. In addition, she appeared on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and eating at the age of. After receiving an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. According to her "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute Of America student. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every day." I was unable to learn enough, didn't perform enough or work hard enough. When I graduated, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian style of living and the culture and it has had an impact on her eating habits. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids with disabilities. In her capacity as a guest speaker and coach, she travels throughout America to speak about her passion for cooking as well as her career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate in that she could be able to share her passion for cooking with the people around her.
